Storage

Temperature: 2-30°C. Shelf life: 24 months. Do not freeze. Protect from moisture.

Preparation

Early morning urine sample is recommended (highest concentration). Urine must not contact toilet water or disinfecting/cleaning agents. Women: do not test during or 3 days after menstruation. Sample must not be contaminated with vaginal discharge. Collect urine into the included plastic container or a clean container free of detergent residues.

Procedure

1. Open the foil pouch and remove the test strip — do not touch the test pads. 2. Dip the strip into the urine so that all 4 test pads are submerged for 1–2 seconds. 3. Remove the strip and blot excess urine against the container edge or with paper towel. 4. Wait 2 minutes. Do not read results after 3 minutes. Compare pad colours with the included colour chart.

Result interpretation

Read each parameter separately. LEUKOCYTES: Whitish pad = negative. Purple pad = leukocytes detected (inflammation). BLOOD: Mustard yellow pad = negative. Green pad or green spots = blood detected. NITRITES: White pad = negative. Pink pad = nitrites detected (bacteria). PROTEIN: Yellowish pad = negative. Green pad = protein detected. Colour changes at pad edges or after 3 minutes should be ignored.
