Preparation
1. Wash hands with soap and rinse with warm water. 2. Open the pouch, remove the test cassette and place on a clean, flat surface. Perform within one hour. 3. Remove the lancet cap. 4. Clean the fingertip with the alcohol swab and allow to dry. 5. Press the lancet against the fingertip. 6. Massage the hand toward the finger, holding hand downward. 7. Place the capillary dropper against the blood — blood fills to the marked line. Avoid air bubbles.
Procedure
1. Squeezing the dropper tip, place blood into the sample well (S). 2. Wait until all blood is transferred. 3. Unscrew the buffer bottle and add 2 drops to the buffer well (B), start the timer. 4. Read results after 10 minutes, comparing T line intensity with the included Vitamin D Colour Chart. Do not interpret after 20 minutes.
Result interpretation
Compare T line with the colour chart. DEFICIENCY (0–10 ng/mL / 0–25 nmol/L): Dark T line — vitamin D deficiency. LOW (10–30 ng/mL / 25–75 nmol/L): Medium T line — low vitamin D level. NORMAL (30–100 ng/mL / 75–250 nmol/L): Faint T line — normal level. TOO HIGH: No T line, only C line — level may be too high, consult a doctor. INVALID: No C line — repeat test.
