Storage

Temperature: 2-30°C. Shelf life: 24 months. Do not freeze. Store in dry place.

Preparation

Abstain from all sexual activity for 3–7 days before the test. Collect semen directly into the included collection container by masturbation. Avoid contaminating the sample with hands or tissues. Shake the container evenly and leave for 1 hour at room temperature until liquefaction. Do not process a sample stored for more than 12 hours.

Procedure

1. Remove the test cassette from the pouch and place on a flat surface. 2. Using the semen transfer device, fill it to the 0.1 mL level with the semen sample. 3. Add the sample to the dilution buffer tube. 4. Mix by inverting the tube 5–10 times. 5. Invert the tube and transfer 2 full drops (approx. 80 µL) to the sample well (S). 6. Read results after 5 minutes. Do not read after 10 minutes.

Result interpretation

NORMAL: Two lines (C and T) — sperm concentration above 15 million/mL. Any shade of T line is normal. ABNORMAL: Only C line — concentration below 15 million/mL, consultation with a urologist recommended. INVALID: No C line — repeat test with new kit.
